Module 2. Blood glucose monitoring for support workers




This course provides an overview for disability support workers, carers and family members supporting a person with a disability to check or understand their blood glucose levels. The information is of a general nature.

Disability support workings training to administer insulin are required to also successfully complete:

  • Module 1 – Overview of diabetes care
  • Module 2 – Blood glucose monitoring
  • Module 3 – Insulin support and administration


  • Purchase online skills review time for a review of their technique using a blood glucose meter and insulin pen.
