Director – Jayne Lehmann BN(Ed) DipAppSc(Nsg) FADEA RN CDE

Jayne began her nursing career in 1984 as a Graduate Nurse at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) in South Australia. โ She spent 2.5 years specialising in diabetes care and education across various wards before joining FMC’s Diabetes Education Unit in 1986, as a Registered Nurse. โ Over the years, she advanced to Clinical Nurse Consultant and completed a Bachelor of Nursing (Education) in 1988. โ Jayne left FMC in 1996 to care for her daughter Sarah, who was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome, a condition involving epilepsy, intellectual disability, communication, and skeletal challenges. โ
Jayne founded EdHealth Australia in 1997 offering consultancy and education services to healthcare, aged care, and disability sectors nationwide. โ She has built a robust infrastructure for her business, setting a benchmark for quality diabetes support services for people with disabilities. โ
In 2009, Jayne became one of the first Registered Nurses and Credentialled Diabetes Educators in Australia to obtain a provider number for Medicare-reimbursed services. โ Combining her professional expertise in diabetes care with her personal experience as Sarah’s caregiver, Jayne created the Diabetes 4 Disability (D4D) online course and suite of services, for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants and their circle of support in 2018. Since then Jayne has established herself as a leading Australian specialist in diabetes care for people with intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and psycho-social disabilities.

Her expertise is highly sought after, with appointments to government and non-government advisory boards and committees advising state and federal governments about the need to improve health outcomes for people with disabilities. โ Jayne has been a member of the South Australian Community Visitor Scheme’s Advisory Group since 2014 and played a key role in updating the subcutaneous injection High Intensity Skills Descriptors (2022) for the National Disability Insurance Scheme Quality and Safety Commission.

Jayne focuses on the South of Adelaide and clients who live interstate with high levels of complexity. She also creates the low literacy resources for our clients.
Administration Manager – Bree Reed

Bree started with EdHealth in 2020 after working as a Pharmacy Assistant in Victoria and South Australia for 12 years. Employed as an Administration Assistant, Bree and Jayne have established a foundation on which to run an efficient business, sub-contracting additional clinical staff to address the growing demand for EdHealth’s services.
Bree supports Jayne with Executive support and manages the administration side of the business. She also does all of the administration involved connecting support workers to their training course, problem solving and the administrative tasks associated with the running of a small business.
EdHealth’s flexible work environment delivers Bree the opportunity to balance her work and family commitments, as a Mum of three young children. Bree’s lived experience of disability comes from managing her youngest son’s NDIS Plan and coordinating his therapy and disability support, linked with his NDIS Plan.
Archana Soni – Registered Nurse Diabetes Educator

Registered Nurse, Archana, joined the EdHealth team in March 2023 and has since achieved her Credentialled Diabetes Educator status, with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association. As a valued member of the team, Archana’s strong foundation of knowledge about all types of diabetes has enabled her to get many of our clients onto a positive path with their diabetes.
Archana focuses on clients in the north of Adelaide and those living interstate. Drawing on the disability experience of a close family memberm Archana brings compassion to her work with people with a disability and a commitment to addressing the challenges people with a disability face when caring for their diabetes.
