Managing Milly’s BGLs
Course Overview
Milly requires her support workers to help her measure her glucose levels because she has a condition causing her glucose level to drop quickly and unexpectedly. It is important for her support workers to know how to accurately use her blood glucose meter and what to do to treat her glucose readings when very low, including use of the emergency injectable medication in the GlucaGen HypoKit.
Course aim
Provide Milly’s support workers with the knowledge and skills to support Milly to maintain her glucose levels in a safe range, using a blood glucose meter, food and the GlucaGen HypoKit.
Pre-Requisites
Current certificate in Medication Management as required by employing organisation.

Turn sound on to hear PowerPoint narrations and videos. Work your way through each step in both lessons and fully complete presentations and videos to the end to move through the course. The pass mark for each Quiz is 95%.
